Update to OSCQR Dashboard Template
Dear OSCQR user:
There has been an update to the OSCQR dashboard template to implement a fix to an issue caused by an update by Google.
Google recently retired the Rhino script runtime, which affected the functionality of existing copies of the OSCQR 4.0 dashboard. In response, we have updated the OSCQR 4.0 dashboard template to resolve this issue and to function properly with Google’s current scripting environment.
Recommended solution
The recommended solution is to download a fresh copy of the updated dashboard from the OSCQR site: Generate your OSCQR SUNY Online Interactive Dashboard – version 4.0
This will ensure that you are using the most current updated version of the OSCQR dashboard template.
For existing local copies
If you have existing OSCQR dashboards that you need to continue using and you are comfortable working with script and code, you may be able to update those local copies by applying the script update. Here are the necessary steps. However, downloading a fresh copy of the updated dashboard is the primary recommended solution.
As a reminder, OSCQR is an openly licensed rubric, dashboard, and process. SUNY Online makes reasonable efforts to keep the shared OSCQR resources current and functioning, but we are not able to provide individualized technical support, troubleshooting, repair, or recovery services for local copies, modified versions, institution-specific adaptations, or locally stored data.
For that reason, we recommend downloading a fresh copy of the updated dashboard as the primary solution. If updating an existing local copy is necessary, we recommend working with someone at your institution who is comfortable applying the script update.
Thank you for your continued use of OSCQR and for the important work you do to support online course quality.
Warmly,
The SUNY Online Teaching OSCQR Team
